Outline Initial Ideas For Project

Our group consists of Alex, Alix and Lewis. We have chosen to do a music video along with a digi-pack and a magazine page advertising the new album. The creative commons song we have chosen to do is called "The Let Down" by Rumor Has It.

We have decided to go with the genre of Rock/Hardcore Punk because we feel that we can make an interesting and unique music video. We hope to make the brand image that reflects their genre of music. The audience of this genre would be 15 to late 20's due to the bands original band image. Our brand image is aimed at people who enjoy recreational rock which is the most popular age range of the music genre.

Socio Economic Status: C1 - E (Likely students and low level jobs)


The USP (unique selling point) of our product would mainly be its alternative approach to music and the style/ logo which they are presented. this would sell the artist as there isn't anything quite like them, causing a sense of intrigue in the target audience. The fact there are few bands like this yet there are bands that do a similar genre of music sets a audience that are used to the genre, however we are introducing a fresh and modern band.
We have chosen to do this song due to its strong USP and the large yet specific target audience that this genre of music targets. we will later prove that this is our target audience by sending out questioners and receiving feedback.
